I have been a student of Kathy’s Hatha yoga class for 2 years. She is an excellent teacher. Kathy is very interested in the well being of her students and, as a result, takes every measure to instruct each person.  No matter what age or level you are on Kathy makes sure each and everyone is in the correct position to get the best results from taking her classes. I myself have been so relaxed at the end of class I have fallen asleep. Moreover, after that, when I awoke, I felt fantastic and ready for the day. I have practiced Yoga for over ten (10) years and have had many, many instructors. Having said that, I have the highest regard for my Coach and Yoga Instructor, Kathy Bowen. I attended Kathy’s classes for almost two years at least twice a week. Kathy knows just what her students should do, can do and can aspire to achieve. Kathy is an excellent coach! I was a first-timer with yoga and was recovering from breast cancer surgery. She was sensitive to my individual needs and with her help, I accomplished flexibility that I hadn’t had in years. Her coaching style is to assess your abilities and tailor the program so that you are challenged and improve with each session. Kathy is an excellent yoga teacher with a great personality and always has a smile. I never liked yoga even though I knew it was good for you until I was introduced to her class. My husband told me they had a yoga class at the gym and said I should try yoga again. So I did and now 3 years later I’m still taking her class. I like the way she mixes up the routine so it’s never boring . I would recommend her class to anyone that thinks yoga is not for them. If I had to rate this class I would give it 5 stars.

Except for closures during the pandemic, I have taken Kathy’s chair yoga (Silver Sneakers) class for over two years.  There is a wide range among the senior participants in their capabilities, but Kathy makes the sessions accessible-yet challenging enough–to all.  No one is pressured to overextend themselves.  Safety and injury avoidance are priorities.  Kathy has a very clear and soothing voice that helps with relaxation.  Her sense of humor is also welcome.  I take other courses and have strongly recommended Kathy to those who want to add classes or are looking for a change. ms

Had never been in a yoga class until I attended Kathy’s at a local fitness club. She is very understanding, accommodating, and helpful.
   Also took part in a four week lifestyle/eating course online. Again, very helpful. Responded quickly to answer questions or make suggestions.
Checked in with me often so that together we could assess my progress.
